Kikyo's bow and arrow tutorial

For Kikyo’s (Inuyasha) bow, I used a heat gun to shape a 1/2” wide pvc pipe and flattened down the ends with a hammer. A dremel tool was used to make  triangular points at the tips, (so that I could wrap the jute rope around them) and then I spray painted it red.

Once dry, I roped the ends of the bow and wrapped sisal rope around the hand grip (a bandage roll could also do the trick).  The arrows were made from dowel rods; the quills from 2 mm craft foam and the quiver sack from 3 mm craft foam.  A black strap was hot glued onto the quiver bag to keep it up on my shoulder.

I used paper clay to make the arrow tips, sanded them to shape and painted them silver.

To make a quiver sack, simply roll up a full sheet of craft foam and hot glue together. On another piece of foam, trace a circle around the bottom of the rolled up quill and cut it out. Glue that circle to the bottom of the sack to plug it up and you’re done!

One day project!  Less than $10.00 to make.
